STRINGING A BEADED BRACELET

1.   Make sure to use extra wire to finish the ends.  Use about twice as much, therefore you’ll need 14-16”.

2.       Make a loop on one end of the wire.  Use 1 ˝-2” of the wire.  Put one end of the clasp into the loop.

3.       Take 2 crimp beads and slide them onto the other end of  the wire up to the clasp, so that the crimp beads pass through the double end of wire as close to the clasp as possible.

4.       Use your needle-nose pliers to crush the crimp beads so that your clasp is secured.

5.       Start stringing your beads on the wire.  Make sure to go over both wires with the first few beads.

6.       With all beads on the wire, slide on two more crimp beads.  Make a loop with the end of the wire not yet used, and slip the other end of the clasp into the loop.

7.       Take the very end of the wire and pull it through the 2 crimp beads as well as the first few beads beside the crimp beads.

8.       Pull the wire as tight as possible with the crimp beads as close to the clasp as you can.  Then using wire cutters cut the excess wire.  Use tweezers or pliers to hide any remaining wire through a bead .

That’s it—congratulations!  You’ve just made a custom piece of jewelry and are now on your way to making all sorts of unique designs for yourself or friends.  Use the same technique to make a matching necklace to compliment any wardrobe.  Experiment with different beads and colors.  Be creative and have fun.

Happy Beading!
